Luffy also has no problem with other people stretching and playing with his rubber what marriage is, he doesn't seem to care about that concept as when Sanji .. Notable among these people are Boa Hancock, Jinbe, and Emporio Ivankov. When asked about romance in One Piece, Oda said "They are in love with one like Nami to make sure he isn't off causing some huge trouble. As such, Ace readily believed Boa Hancock when she told him that Luffy had broken .. Luffy also has no problems taking orders from her when it comes to the.
Personality Overview Luffy's two dominant traits are his apparent lack of intelligence and his utter fearlessness. In addition, during long and complex explanations of something, he immediately calls it magic.
He also has no knowledge of medicine: When attempting to think up a plan to get off of Amazon Lilywhile he managed to make some logical sense of where to look, he is seen to strain himself and notes that he is going to feel sick from too much thinking. Even the worst battlefields rarely disturb him except when it involves a friend or relative as in the case of Ace. He is seemingly unphased by the most horrifying sights such as headless men left after Law's attacks or the extreme violence of Kid.
Luffy's personality is like that of a child's, in the sense that he tends to go to the extremes. He can either be extremely greedy, especially in cases of food, who his crew is, and adventure; or extraordinarily selfless, going so far as to virtually sacrifice himself to avenge or protect his friends, crew, and family.
This childish mentality of his allows him to get to the root of the problem, and allows him to figure out the most simple way of solving it. He almost never gets irritated with normal people, though there are a few exceptions, like when they seem to have an opposite taste in food as he, or when they ask if they can take a look at his "privates".
Luffy also has no problem with other people stretching and playing with his rubber body, however, he does get a little irritated if they are doing so while he's in the middle of eating.one piece funny moment - boa Hancock finds out about Nami and Robin
Luffy calls every mixed-appearance creature he finds by whichever creature is its secondary non-dominant part. Also, after seeing Pierre transform, he continued to refer to him as a " horse " instead of a bird.
And related to this running gag, when on Long Ring Long Land island, he called every animal by what he thought they resembled rather than the actual species they were. Another interesting personality trait is that during sailing, he likes to sit on the bow of the ship, such as the head of the Going Merry and the Thousand Sunnythe nose of Rocket Manthe head of the right Yuda of the Kuja Pirates ' ship or even on top of the front cannon of a captured Marines ' ship.
Luffy's interest in women is a complex matter: Luffy also has an indifferent behavior towards marriage. While he knows what marriage is, he doesn't seem to care about that concept as when Sanji was in an arranged marriage with Pudding, he did not care if he got married and only cared more about him returning to the crew.
He also didn't object to Absalom trying to marry Nami and only commented on how "brave" he was to want to marry her. Ironically, despite his lack of interest in all things love related, Luffy has earned the affections of many women along his travels such as Alvida's admiration, the love of Boa Hancock, etc.
Luffy has shown to admire heroes, though he has stated vehemently that he really does not want to be one, his reasoning more-or-less translating that the definition of a good hero is to be entirely selfless. Ironically, many of Luffy's actions are mostly selfless, with his selfishness mainly revolving around his gluttony and his thirst for adventure.
This trait leaves everyone he meets with to think he is some kind of hero, but not by his own design. However, he is easily convinced by Jinbe for his plan of becoming a hero of the Fish-Man Island with an agreement of meat. Luffy acquired the reputation of a very dangerous person because of his recklessness and even insanity. However, unlike other pirates who have a reputation as a psycho like the Killer of the Marines Caribou or Bellamy for unjust violence against civilians or authorities, Luffy gained his reputation for helping his friends in the face of power, usually passing over beyond the bounds of reasoning.
It is shown that Luffy can get irritated when his crew or people around him constantly whine about the dangers they are in that he caused, which is mostly shown in Zou. He would appreciate if people stayed happy and cheery in these situations, like the rabbit mink Carrot. When his adoptive older brother Ace was killed at Marinefordthe mental strain of watching Ace die in his arms caused him to fall into a catatonic state. After waking from this state, Luffy flew into a rage and went on a destructive rampage to vent his grief and anger.
Some encouragement from Jinbe and Rayleigh gave Luffy some renewed courage to continue pursuing his dream. After the timeskip, he tells Rayleigh that he will be Pirate King, having regained his confidence to fight for his dream.
During the operation to ruin Sanji and Pudding's wedding ceremony, Jinbe could not wake him up even after smacking him hard several times and yelling directly into his ears. Initially mocking her every opportunity Zoro got, it was finally in Enies lobby arc that Zoro completely accepted her as a friend and even unleashed a complete new form to save her.
Zoro and Robin most of the time have each other's back in fights, be it Robin trying to save him from Kuma or Zoro appearing outta nowhere to save Robin from sword attacks in Fishman arc. Zoro and Robin have huge age gap, but with their similarities like not to lose their cool and be the brains of crew, they make a compatible couple.

Tashigi The entire base of this ship lies on the fact that she looks too much like his childhood friend Kuina, whom Zoro holds in highest respect. Kuina is the reason he is out there to become the best swordsman. Like he promised, he will be such a great swordsman that even in heaven they will talk about him.
Zoro can never fight Tashigi with that face and ends up avoiding her every time they meet. They have in common their obsession with swords, though skillwise she is nowhere close to him.
I personally don't like this ship very much, but it is definitely a valid possiblity out there. Perona This ship came into picture when before time skip Zoro was sent to the creepy castle where Perona and Mihawk lived. Zoro has shown no regards for her taking care of him when he landed in an almost dead state. But eventually when he lived here, they can be said to be on a friendly term.
Monkey D. Luffy/Relationships
She has definitely helped him reach Sabaody at least, that too making him the first one to arrive, something Zoro takes very much pride in. A very impossible couple in my opinion but there are people who would love to see them together. Nami Zoro will say hell no to this ship to be honest. But nothing wrong with a fan dreaming to see their OTP come true.
Nami and Zoro bicker every freaking time they have a conversation. But if you notice Zoro talks the most to her after Luffy I think.
They have their drinking habits in common and everytime Nami has a problem she mostly rushes to Zoro for the solution. Zoro has saved Nami way many times and occasionally he worries for her as well. I personally love this couple cause I prefer a lively couple compared to a serious one, but that's just me.
Nami may seem unreasonable many times but she too definitely cares. I am not fond of Zoro with either Tashigi or Perona.

And I already expressed my strong feelings for Nami and Zoro, but seeing the possiblites and the hints, I will have to say Robin and Zoro for the win. It's funny how even though him being chivalrous and a gentleman like he calls himself, he still has hard time pleasing all the ladies, credits can be given to his overwhelming response after meeting a woman.
But Sanji will undoubtedly will be the best man in a relationship, and let's not forget his cooking skills. Nami One thing, Nami is the best girl here, she pretty much gets shipped with everyone. While Sanji keeps drooling over Nami all the time, Nami has no whatsoever interest in him.
But she uses Sanji's weakness to best of her advantage. I mean that's what she is good at afterall. While these two make a good looking pair, I am not much fond of this ship. Sanji is always ready to play the role of prince charming, which we saw best in Thriller Bark, when he saved Nami from getting married to Absalom.
Let's just say he is Nami's slave.

And that's why they won't work, he needs someone who appreciates him not just use him. That doesn't mean Nami has no care for him, she obviously cares for him as a crewmate, she was even worried and mad at herself for not able to stop him from getting kidnapped.
Each time, she has been rejected, though she continues this behavior to the point of even proposing to the same person multiple times. In contrast, Baby 5 is notorious for accepting every marriage proposal due to feeling needed by her fiances, even though all of them actually intended to use her.
She also accepted Sai 's proposal despite the two having barely known each other, although Sai's proposal had much more noble reasons. She is sometimes prone to viewing some of his actions as marriage proposals when they are not. This is common between royal families, as heirs are often expected to marry someone else of royal descent. They may be granted some choice in the matter, as Nefertari Vivi was given a large number of princes to choose from, but still have the constraint of having to choose among royalty.
Many of her children do not particularly like the idea of being forced to marry a stranger, but they accept it due to Big Mom expecting it, especially since most of them fear her. This even extends to her own children, as she was intent on killing her daughter Lola when she ran away from a marriage that could have made Big Mom Pirate King.
